As you’ll notice on my blog, I do quite a bit of Vietnamese cooking, and I share many of my favorite Vietnamese recipes.
The reason? Simple. I am a purebred Vietnamese girl.
I was born in a small village near the sea in South Vietnam, and came to the United States when I was in Elementary School. Growing up as first generation Vietnamese girl was difficult, acceptance hard to come by, but through the years, I have grown to love my Vietnamese heritage. (I used to hate it, but being steeped in two cultures does have its benefits and makes me uniquely me.)
