Since I was a little girl, I’ve wanted to travel around the world.
Unfortunately, it costs lots of money to be able to travel globally. And since I am a writer – a nearly starving writer that doesn’t make enough moola to go traipsing around the world – I have been limited in my travels. But now that I am out of college and I have a full-time marketing job, my plan for the next 5 years is to travel to as many places, to see as many cities as I possibly can.
This blog will chronicle my adventures.
This is me, BTW.
So where did I come up with the name “Hungry Wanderlust?”
Wanderlust is my absolutely favorite word. I only learned about it a few years ago (before the stupid movie came out), but it describes me perfectly.
wan·der·lust
[won-der-luhst]
a strong, innate desire to rove or travel about.
And the “hungry” part of this blog title is exactly what it means. I love food. I love to cook and eat it, and I enjoy trying out new restaurants wherever I go. On this blog, you’ll see recipes and restaurant reviews at various eateries that I visit on my travels.
I hope you enjoy sharing my food adventures as I try to become a world traveler . . . on a budget.
I stumbled into your website today and really like it. I think you look beautiful and so cheerful. I am making bun rieu for dinner tonight and your recipe is exactly like my mom’s and that has been my cooking…except I do not add mam tom because I do not like it. I am going home to prepare bun rieu for my family now and will visit your site later. I would like to find out more about you. We have the same passions for foods travel. My family will love dinner mommy makes tonight. Later Doan Phuong.
