In a shallow dish, whisk together all your wet ingredients (eggs, milk, vanilla extract) and the spices (allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar).
On medium low heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a nonstick skillet.
Dip the bread into the egg mixture, making sure that both sides get coated.
Fry the bread for 1-2 minutes per side until it is golden brown. Remove from heat and repeat with the other slices. Add more butter as needed.
Serve immediately. Top with powdered sugar, fresh fruit, and drizzle maple syrup on top. Enjoy!
